Jessie J
Jessica Ellen Cornish, popularly referred to as Jessie J, is a known English musician and singer. Jessie became famous early on for her distinct style of music, which blends soul and hip-hop, pop and electropop. As well as her numerous nominations, she's been selected for the 2011 "Critics Choice Brit Awards" and the BBC's Sound of 2011". Her music career got underway at the age of 11 at the time that Andrew Lloyd Webber cast her in the show Whistle Down the Wind. In the following years, she was part of the National Youth Music Theater as a performer in the production by the theater 'The Late Sleepers,' which premiered in 2002. 2011 was the year she made headlines with the release of her debut album "Who You Are'. In the UK in particular it sold 105,000 units, and in the US the number was 34,000. It topped the charts at second among the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on the US Billboard 200. Jessie is also known as a charitable person and is involved in charities such as "Children in Need,' and "Comic Relief."
