Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of 14 years old. Aspen Ladd started training in BJJ, kickboxing, wrestling and boxing before her debut as an amateur at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd became more confident after this win and won 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents were all defeated by the start of the round. After that, she went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen and defeated her in an unanimous decision. This put the mark of a loss on Aspen's records as an amateur. Ladd recovered from the loss with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11 saw her dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. Invicta Combat Championships 16, She won the following match with Amanda Cooper through a second-round submission by armbar. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to take out McGill with a TKO during the third-round (elbows and punches). The next fight was against Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 in the weight class of catchweight(138.1lb) as Ladd did not reach her weight, but Aspen dominated Hoy and defeated her in the second round via TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her last bout for the organization. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a an unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by using the ground and pound strategy which resulted in an TKO second-round victory. She continued to dominate and won a much more convincing victory in her subsequent fight with Tonya Evinger. UFC 229 Ladd won the fight at the start of round one, and was awarded the performance of the Night Bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent in the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first major match. The two fighters put on an intense battle that concluded with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters received the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within just 16 seconds, ending her win streak. In the third round of UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. Her most recent bout for the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. It was a unanimous decision against her.
